In our grant funded ARTSpark program we partner with Washington Middle School to provide programming to four special education classrooms during the school day. From flameworking to drawing and collage students get a hands on experience of art.
In our flameworking class students learn to use table torches with a 2,000 degree flame to heat and melt glass into beads and small sculptures. Students learn to name and use a variety of tools while exploring this ancient tradition.
Seattle University student Kait joins us each week to volunteer with teaching artist Romson Bustillo.
Learning printmaking fundamentals using scratch foam to create and print an original image.
